Steady Rests

These steady rests are easily mounted on the lathe, use up virtually no swing and more importantly, dampen most vibration. With less vibration problems, you can employ a wider variety of cuts and cutting styles to get the finish you desire.

Bowl Steady This steady rest can be used on both Bowls and Platters. When using this steady you no longer have to hold the bowl with your hand when finish turning. This frees up your hands allowing better tool control, and increased safety. To find out more about the Bowl Steady Rest, click here.

Spindle Steady Our spindle steady rest uses the same scissor action the bowl steady uses. This clamping method provides rock soild clamping with little or no flexing of the spindle. More detailed information on the Spindle Steady can be found here.
